Consignment Sale Terms

Selling Process

Listing your items for sale on Crystal Planet is currently free. Your items will remain on Crystal Planet's website until they sell.

To sell your pieces you will need to compile a list of what you are wanting to sell. We require the following information to list your pieces on the website.
  • Name of the Piece
  • Article Number
  • The Box/Cylinder
  • Identification Label on the Box/Cylinder
  • COA
  • Price
We have also included a Condition box for you to write in if the piece has any damage or any special information you wish to include like a signature.

If you do not know the Article Number for the piece you wish to sell you will need to email a photo to sales@crystalplanet.com.au so that the correct information is used.

We recommend that you clean and closely inspect your pieces while you are compiling your list of the items to sell.

Once you have all of this information then go to our Listing Form and send the information to Crystal Planet.

Keep us up to date if you are selling your items elsewhere and some of your collection sells, or if you choose to no longer sell it.

Once your item sells we will contact you. You will need to clean and re-inspect your pieces to make sure the piece still matches the listed condition. Items that are sent to Crystal Planet dirty will incur a cleaning fee of $10 per piece which will be deducted from the amount that is paid to the seller at the end of the transaction.

Once you have received the notification that your item has sold you will need to package it and send it to Crystal Planet within 5 business days. You need to be sure that you allow extra cushioning around the piece, especially if the piece does not have a box. It will need to be insured for the sale price minus 20%. The seller pays for the postage and packaging costs to Crystal Planet.

To package your item we recommend a suitable void fill such as packing peanuts or bubble wrap, extra care must be used for unboxed pieces.
When your piece arrives it will be inspected. If the piece differs from the listed condition it will be at Crystal Planets discretion whether to continue the sale or return the item at the sellers expense. Crystal Planet will not refuse pieces for damaged boxes or manufacturing defects.

Once the piece passes the inspection the payment is then processed via your nominated payment method.

Payment will be made by Cheque to the name and address that was registered when the piece was listed for sale. Cost for bank transfers/direct deposit at this time is $15 which will be deducted from the total.

Buying Process

When you purchase a consignment piece you must first pay the full amount via one of our payment options. The process will not start until payment has been received.

Once payment has been received we then contact the seller to send the piece. After the piece arrives we then check the piece and confirms that it matches the condition that was given. This is done by checking for any scratches, chips or breaks. It is also given a clean.
Please note we will not reject a piece based on a damaged box(within reason) or any manufacturing flaws that was present when the piece was sold.

After the piece has been thoroughly checked we will then send a photo of the piece to your nominated email address. We will also note in the email any chips or damage that was mentioned in the item description.

Once you have confirmed the piece we will then send the piece to you. We highly recommend getting insurance for your piece as we do not refund for pieces broken in the post.
